Simple 2 Wire operation for field devices
All field devices and connected in parallel
using two core cables.
Call and Attendant Response Alarm available from the same 2 wire field cables.
- Call devices, and indicators connect
on the same two wires, each devices has in and out terminals
Built in Buzzer
- Can be Muted By mute button.
- When pressed during fault condition will bleep once every 10
seconds.
- When Pressed during Call activation will bleep once every 5
seconds.
3 Status LED's
- Green: Mains Power
- Illuminated - Mains On
-
Flashing 0.5 hZ - Battery Back Up, Mains Off
- Blink (1 / 15s) - back up battery below
10V with deep discharge protection
activated.
- Red: Call Status
Flashing 0.3Hz -
Call Pull cord activated
Fast Flashing 1Hz - PA "Attendant Response Call"
- Yellow: Fault
Constant - Field Wiring damaged ie, either shorted or
Open Circuit
or damaged button.
Blinking - Field devices shorted, this mode is only
available during initial
power up and after as master reset
Front Mounted Mute / Reset Button
- During a fault condition the buzzer is muted by pressing
the mute button, once muted the buzzer will bleep
once every 10 seconds .
- During a Call Activation the buzzer is muted by pressing
the mute button, once muted the buzzer will
bleep once every 5 seconds . When a Call is
muted the field devices continue to sound and flash.
- Once Muted a call may cleared by pressing the mute button
for 1 second which will clear the Control
unit to standby mode and stop the field device
from sounding and flashing.
- At any time during standby / quiescent mode if the
reset button is pressed for 3 seconds the Control Unit
will perform a master reset equivalent to initial
powering up, which will test all LED's and internal buzzer
and field sounder devices.
- During Mains Fail and battery backup, the Internal Buzzer
will bleep once every two seconds, the mute
button can be pressed which will allow the mains
fail warning bleep to be once every 60 seconds.
- The mute
button, will not mute an "Attendant Response Call"
Battery Back up Option
- 24 Hours Stand - By with 12V 1.2 Ahr Sealed Lead Acid battery
- When the mains have failed and battery is discharged to 10V
the deep discharge battery protection is
enabled which turn off the control unit so protecting
the battery and prolonging it life. The power LED will
flash on every 15 seconds.
Field Device End of Line Monitoring
- All field device wiring and devices including, Assistance Pull Cords, PA call devices,
Over Door Indicators,
and Mute / Reset devices are continually monitored for open &
short circuit and jammed buttons.
Solid State Active Short Circuit Protection
- If a short circuit or over currant is
presented across the Zone field connection terminals the control
unit
automatically Shuts down the power to the devices, and
illuminates
the fault LED while sounding the fault
buzzer. This special feature offers many benefits including self
protecting electronics for long life, Less fuses
to replace, and simple engineer fault diagnosis during
installation and maintenance.
Deep Discharge Battery Protection.
- During a mains failure, and operating
on battery back up, the battery in constantly monitored ensuring that
it does not fall below 10V which is the lowest a
sealed lead battery should be discharged to. At 10V the
Control will automatically go to sleep preserving
the rechargeable battery. The green power LED will blink
once every 15 seconds during deep discharge sleep
mode.
Power Up Self Test.
- On initial power up the control unit will flash each LED in sequence
and sound the
onboard Buzzer, then test field device wiring for end
of line presence , shorts & open
circuits and jammed buttons, on passing testing the field
device will flash and sound
twice. |
