The Meditell2 Ceiling Pull Cord (VPA-PC) is normally
mounted to a ceiling or a firm horizontal surface allowing the polyester
cord to fall vertical downwards. The VPA-PC is supplied along with 2.5M of
Cord and 2 ergonomically designed anchor shaped easy pull handles.
Ceiling Pull
Cords are normally mounted in a position that is easily accessible by a
disabled person, the cord is normally long enough to nearly touch the
floor with one of the anchor pull handles at the very bottom of the cord
and the second pull handle positioned about half way down the cord, or at
hand hight when standing up or when sitting in a wheel chair. Positioning
the handles in this way means that a person my summon a response by
pulling the middle handle while standing up, or if they fall over they
would be able pull the handle positioned close to the floor.
Once a handle is pulled a "Call / Response Alarm" is generated, the
Alarm Repeater LED will flash in sympathy with any LED units or sounders
fitted onto the system. |
