What is a PDF document?
PDF stands
for Portable Document Format and can be likened to an electronic photocopy.
It was developed by Adobe and allows images and text to be combined together
for high-resolution multiple platform viewing and is the open de facto
standard for electronic document distribution world-wide.
Files saved
in PDF format can be viewed using the Adobe plug-in, Acrobat Reader. This
software is so widely used that you may already have it installed on your
computer.
If you have the plug-in it will
automatically open and the document can be viewed, navigated, and printed.
If not, click the icon on the left to go to the Adobe website to get a free download of Acrobat Reader.
