PDF stands
for Portable Document Format and can be likened to an electronic photocopy.
It was developed by Adobe and allows images and text to be combined together
for high-resolution multiple platform viewing and is the open de facto
standard for electronic document distribution world-wide.
Files saved
in PDF format can be viewed using the Adobe plug-in, Acrobat Reader. This
software is so widely used that you may already have it installed on your
computer.
If you have
the plug-in it will automatically open and the document can be viewed,
navigated, and printed. If not, click the icon below to go to the Adobe web
site to get a free download of Acrobat Reader.
