SITING MANUAL CALL POINTS

 

A GUIDE TO PLANNING RISK ASSESSMENT AND REGULATIONS

All manual call points whatever the system type should be sited:
  • On all escape routes
  • On landings of stairways
  • Final exits to the open air
  • So that nobody has to travel 30 metres to reach a call point
  • 1.4 metres above the floor
  • Free from obstruction
